CBC Radio Sudbury wins three RTDNA awards

CBC Radio Sudbury won three prizes at this years RTDNA Canada awards, also known as the Association of Electronic Journalists.

CBC Radio Sudbury won three prizes at this years RTDNA Canada awards, also known as the Association of Electronic Journalists.

Morning North took home the Gord Sinclair Award for the special show CBC Radio Sudbury broadcast live from Elliot Lake last spring at the start of the public inquiry into the mall roof collapse.

Congratulations to Markus Schwabe, Roger Corriveau, Jan Lakes and Amy Dodge.

Reporter Erik White won the Dave Rogers Long Feature award for The Big Gamble, a series we broadcast last fall about the northern cities hoping to cash in on casinos.

And Points North host Jason Turnbull won the Dave Rogers award in the short features category for his documentary, No Sight, No Problem.

The awards were given out in Toronto on Saturday.
