Drunk driving charges, injuries, after vehicle flips in Sudbury

A 21-year-old man, is facing drunk driving charges after a crash on Bancroft Drive in Sudbury yesterday that sent one of his passengers to hospital with serious injuries.

A 21-year-old man, is facing drunk driving charges after a crash on Bancroft Drive in Sudbury yesterday that sent one of his passengers to hospital with serious injuries. 

Sudbury police said officers responded to the call at about 1:30 a.m.    

Police said the driver was heading "towards the Kingsway at a high rate of speed" when his vehicle went off the road, hit a mailbox and flipped over onto its roof, effectively "demolishing" the vehicle. 

The driver and a female passenger, 18, were treated for injuries and released. 

Another passenger, a 19-year-old man, suffered what police are calling serious injuries.
