Cambrian College workers clean up Junction Creek
Efforts continue to keep Sudbury's Junction Creek clean.
Efforts continue to keep Sudbury's Junction Creek clean.
The urban waterway has been revived in recent years, in large part thanks to the help of volunteers.
On Monday, employees at Cambrian College were out cleaning up around various sections of the creek.
"It's kind of like a landmark for the city and I think a very visible way of trying to get the message across to the community that we all have a responsibility to keep our city beautiful," said Sonia Del Missier, interim president for the college.
Del Missier said almost 200 Cambrian employees will take part in the cleanup.
