The Greater Sudbury Police Service was called to Lasalle Boulevard and Lansing Avenue in the New Sudbury area, Sunday in response to a complaint of two bears around a housing complex.
When officers arrived they located one bruin in a tree, but the other bear appeared to have left the area.
The bear in the tree wouldn't come down.
Due to the amount of pedestrian traffic, the Ministry of Natural Resources was called in.
MNRF officials tranquillized the bear and moved it to another location.
Police said the bears appeared to have been attracted to the area by garbage placed outside, at the rear of the complex.
