Police are scaling back their investigation into the disappearance of Tamra Keepness, the Regina girl who was last seen in her inner-city home almost two years ago.
The five-year-old girl vanished in July 2004, prompting one of the largest searches in Saskatchewan history.
Police conducted hundreds of interviews, followed up on more than 1,500 tips and offered a $25,000 reward.
On Wednesday, Regina police Chief Cal Johnston said investigators still don't have enough information to lay any charges.
Johnston said a six-person task force established last year to investigate all new leads has been pared down to two detectives.
Johnston said he'll reassess staffing of the case at the end of June.
