Warman under indefinite boil water advisory
Water main repair in Warman prompted the province's Water Security Agency to issue a boil water advisory for the community north of Saskatoon.
Order in effect Tuesday afternoon
People who live in Warman are being advised to boil their water until further notice.
The province issued the advisory Tuesday afternoon.
It has an immediate and practical impact on city residents.
- People are advised to boil all drinking water for at least one minute.
- Water used to brush teeth, wash fruits and vegetables and to make ice cubes should also be boiled.
- Be careful about using water to wash dishes, unless it's been boiled or bleach added.
- Do not drink from public fountains.
- Sponge bath infants.
Adults, teens and older children may shower, bathe or wash using tap water, but are advised against swallowing the water.
This is all due to a water main repair and system depressurization of a portion of the SaskWater Saskatoon North Treated supply pipeline distribution system, the Water Security Agency said in a news release.
This work means that the safety of the city's water supply cannot be guaranteed at all times.
