Man arrested for drunk driving after early morning crash in Saskatoon

An early morning crash led Saskatoon police on a chase that ended with a man being charged for impaired driving. Police said just after 1 a.m. CST on Friday morning two vehicles collided on the 3300 block of 14th Street East.

An early morning crash led Saskatoon police on a chase that ended with a man being charged for impaired driving.

Police said just after 1 a.m. CST on Friday morning two vehicles collided on the 3300 block of 14th Street East.

One of the drivers fled the scene before abandoning the vehicle not far away on Spinks Drive before running away on foot.

Police, using the canine unit and other patrol members, arrested the suspect in the 400 block of Acadia drive. 

Police said the suspect also caused damage to two other vehicles, yards and city property in the West College Park area. 

A male was taken into custody and charged with impaired driving.
