30-year-old taken to hospital after being shot in abdomen: Saskatoon police

A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital in stable condition after he was shot in the abdomen in Saskatoon on Saturday morning.

Police haven't identified a suspect, but believe victim and shooter knew each other

A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital in stable condition after he was shot in the abdomen in Saskatoon on Saturday morning.

Police received a 911 call about a man being shot at a residence in the 200 block of Avenue V S. at about 6 a.m. CST.

When officers arrived they found the man with a gunshot wound from a small-calibre rifle.

He was transported to hospital in stable condition to be treated for the wound.

Police believe the victim knew the shooter but a suspect has not been identified.

Investigators from the targeted enforcement unit are looking into the incident.
