The SUV had been reported stolen from the 700 block of Avenue N South. The Saskatoon Fire Department's water rescue team and police got the call at approximately 6 a.m. CST.
The SUV was about 10 metres offshore. It appeared to have gone off 33rd Street E after crossing Spadina Crescent, flattening trees off a sharp embankment and then moving across the shoreline and into the water.
