This is the 2nd time Saskatoon Police Service issued a fine under the Public Health Act
Police in Saskatoon have issued another fine to someone who wasn't abiding by Saskatchewan's public health orders.
A 27-year-old man was issued a fine of $2,800 for failing to remain in self-isolation, per the public health restrictions, police said.
Police did not specify the circumstances surrounding the man's need to self-isolate, but said the fine was issued following an investigation and consultation with public health inspectors.
This is the second time the Saskatoon Police Service has laid a charge under the Public Health Act.
The first charge, laid a week ago, was in relation to an anti-mandatory mask protest at the Midtown mall.
Police wish to remind people to continue to adhere to the current public health orders.
