Community associations to discuss safety at Saskatoon Board of Police Commissioners meeting

City has had 10 homicides so far this year, six in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood
The Saskatoon Board of Police Commissioners are meeting today and safety is high on the agenda.
The Caswell, Montgomery Place and Mount Royal community associations, along with the Saskatoon Tribal Council, are scheduled to make presentations to the board about safety.
So far this year there have been 10 homicides in the city.
The Saskatoon Crisis Intervention Services will also be at the police board meeting looking for a funding increase.
Other items on the agenda include a mid-year financial report from the Saskatoon Police Service and a report on the supervised consumption site in Saskatoon.
The meeting takes place today at 4 p.m. CST at City Hall.
