Saskatoon man arrested in early morning stabbing

A 29-year-old man has been arrested after an early morning stabbing.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested after an early morning stabbing.

Police were called to the 200 block of Avenue V S. just after 1 a.m. CST this morning. 

A 52-year-old man was taken to hospital to be treated for stabbing and slashing wounds to his arm and hand.

Police brought in the canine unit and found the 29-year-old suspect nearby.

Police say both people knew each other and the attack wasn't random.

The 29-year-old has been charged with aggravated assault, breach of a conditional sentence order and mischief.
