A blaze at the Saskatoon Landfill kept firefighters busy Saturday evening.
The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a fire at the landfill off Valley Road, south of 11th Street at 9:30 p.m.
A total of 12 firefighters worked to contain the fire with two engines, one tanker and one brush truck.
Landfill personnel were also called in to assist crews with extinguishing the fire.
Firefighters remained on scene for more than two hours to extinguish hot spots, while landfill staff stayed to monitor the situation throughout the night.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
