City of Saskatoon goes public with growth plan
City hosts public event on growth
A public event for Saskatoon's growth plan will be held on Monday.
The growth plan summit will take place at city council chambers from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. CST.
The meeting will be open to comments from the public beginning at 7 p.m.
Last week, the city revealed its plans on how to grow the city over the next 30 years, entitled Growth Plan to Half a Million.
The report looks at the implementation of a rapid transit system, a new river crossing, and the development of strategic infill sites around downtown and the University of Saskatchewan's endowment lands.
The meeting will include a presentations from city administrators and Jarrett Walker, author of the book Human Transit.
The growth plan summit will be streamed live at www.saskatoon.ca/watchcouncil.
