Saskatoon garage destroyed after car fire

A car fire early Thursday morning burned up a detached garage in Saskatoon last night.

Firefighters were called to the 1200 block of Avenue J S. for a vehicle fire in a garage. When they arrived, the car was engulfed in flames.

Crews sprayed down the car and started spraying down the outside of the garage.

As a result of the spreading fire, two extra fire engines, as well as a ladder truck and a rescue truck were brought out to fight the blaze.

It took 40 minutes for the fire to get under control.

It's still not clear what caused the fire.

There is no cost estimate on the damage.
