EHealth Saskatchewan warns public about health card expirations
Saskatchewan's Ministry of Health wants people to double-check whether their health cards are up-to-date.
Patients could be billed for medical services if card expires Dec. 31
Saskatchewan's Ministry of Health says people should double-check whether their health cards are up-to-date.
This fall, more than 689,000 households received health card renewal packages. The package included a renewal sticker that will renew the person's health card until Dec. 31, 2020.
Anyone who didn't receive a package may not be signed up for renewal, and could be billed for medical services in January.
Occasionally, people move and don't update their address with the province, and don't receive the renewal package. Anyone who hasn't received their stickers are asked to call 1-800-667-7551 or email change@ehealthsask.ca.
