All free tickets to Remai Modern opening weekend now claimed
Gallery will try to accomodate people who show up without tickets
If you want to take a peek at the new Remai Modern this weekend, you may be out of luck.
All 7,000 free tickets to the gallery's opening weekend have now been claimed by the public. Admission to the building was limited to make sure it stayed within occupancy limits.
"This is an overwhelming response, and we're thrilled," said Gregory Burke, Remai Modern Executive Director & CEO. "Excitement has been building during the years of construction, and now we're looking forward to welcoming the crowds to celebrate with us."

Along with the new building, attendees will be able to see the gallery's inaugural exhibition, Field Guide.
Those without tickets might still be able to get in. The gallery said it would be closely monitoring how many people are inside the gallery, and "will make every effort to accommodate those who show up Saturday and Sunday without a ticket."
