31-year-old fatally shot near St. Paul's Hospital
A Saskatoon judge will hear the case in February against two teens charged with second-degree murder in the shooting of Mark Enwaya.
A two-day preliminary hearing is scheduled to begin Feb. 12, 2020 at provincial court. That's where the judge assesses whether the evidence is strong enough to warrant a trial.
The teens are 15 and 17 and cannot be named because of their ages. Both were in youth court Wednesday as the hearing dates were selected.
Enwaya's family were also in court, although his father was asked to leave because he was being disruptive.
The 31-year-old Enwaya was fatally shot with a .45-calibre handgun in the alley behind the 100 block of Avenue Q South on March 10.
It was the city's second homicide of the year.
