One of Saskatchewan's best-known soccer players will not be playing for Canada's Olympic qualifying team.

Saskatoon-born Kaylyn Kyle has been left off the roster for the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship in Texas next month.

Kyle was a member of the bronze medal-winning national team at the 2012 London Olympics.

The national team will be fighting for a spot at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Seven veteran players have been selected to return to the team, including captain Christine Sinclair.

Kyle currently plays for the Orlando Pride football club.

If her social media presence is any indication, she doesn't seem to be holding any ill-feelings toward the national team.
