Police investigating man's death as 7th homicide of 2019, suspect in custody

Police say a 47-year-old man’s death was a homicide and they have a male suspect in custody.

Saskatoon police say a 47-year-old man's death was a homicide and they have a male suspect in custody.

Officers were called to the 1700 block of 20th Street West on Sunday at roughly 4 a.m. CST for reports of an injured male. Police and Medavie Health Services West responded to the scene and attempted to save the man but they were unsuccessful.

Members of the Saskatoon Police Service's major crimes and forensic identification units are investigating. Police said an autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
