The Saskatoon building that was home to the Golden Dragon Chinese restaurant for many years, and more recently The Hollows restaurant, was demolished on Friday.

The Hollows closed earlier this year, after learning the building's owners had decided not to spend the money to bring the structure up to code.

The Hollows was one of the Riversdale neighbourhood's first restaurants to focus on farm-to-table dining.

When the restaurant closed, Hollows owner and chef Christie Peters said it was disappointing to have to leave the old Golden Dragon spot, on Avenue C S. at 19th Street W.
