Saskatoon police say distracted driving caused a fatal semi-truck crash on Oct. 21.

Police were called that day to a serious crash on Circle Drive. Three semis crashed and one driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 51 years old.

Another driver was uninjured and the third was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police say investigation determined that a cellphone found in the cab of the 51-year-old's semi was being used at the time of the crash.

Police say the man's family has been informed of the findings.

Saskatoon police are reminding people to put their cell phones away when driving.
