Bail hearing postponed for Saskatoon woman at centre of deadly crash that killed Van de Vorst family
Catherine McKay charged with impaired driving causing death in death of Van de Vorst family
A bail hearing has been postponed for a Saskatoon woman accused of killing a family of four while she was allegedly driving drunk.
Catherine McKay, 49, is facing twelve charges, including impaired driving causing death and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death. McKay's lawyer is still receiving documents from crown prosecutors. A new hearing will be held next month.
Jordan and Chanda Van de Vorst were killed earlier this month when their car was hit on Highway 11, on the outskirts of Saskatoon. Their five-year-old daughter Kamryn and two-year-old son Miguire died later in hospital.

Police say the Van de Vorsts' car was travelling westbound on Highway 11 when it was struck by an SUV attempting to cross the highway on Wanuskewin Road.
McKay was remanded to the Pine Grove Correctional Centre near Prince Albert. She has worked as the executive director of the Saskatoon Sports Council. McKay has also wrestled professionally under the name Cathie Cougar in the Canadian Wrestling Federation.
Jordan Van de Vorst was a well-known amateur photographer in Saskatoon. His wife, Chanda, worked as a kinesiologist.
