Two people have been arrested in Saskatoon after fleeing police in a stolen car.

On Monday night, police spotted a stolen vehicle in the 700 block of 33rd Street W. Police tried to stop the vehicle after more officers arrived in the area, but the driver sped off, travelling to the east side of the city.

Eventually, police were able to flatten the vehicle's tires with stop sticks at Circle Drive and Attridge Drive.

A 36-year-old man and 20-year-old woman face charges of theft of vehicle, evading police and other charges.

The pair will appear in Saskatoon provincial court this morning.
