2 more people in Saskatoon hospitalized from suspected overdoses

A man and woman in Saskatoon were hospitalized Wednesday night for suspected drug overdoses.

Police investigating whether connected to fentanyl-laced cocaine

A man suspected of overdosing was treated with the drug antidote Naloxone. Naloxone can temporarily reverse an overdose of fentanyl or other opioids.

Police say two people were hospitalized Wednesday night in Saskatoon for suspected overdoses.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Heritage Way around 7:30 p.m. CST after a woman was reported suffering from a suspected overdose.

They got her to hospital for treatment.

And then, seven hours later, officers were called back to the same address with reports that a man had overdosed. An officer treated him with the drug antidote Naloxone and he was taken to hospital.

Their condition is not known.

Unknown if incidents are connected to last weekend's overdoses

Police are not certain whether the incidents are connected to six overdoses last weekend that left three people dead. Police say those people died by ingesting cocaine laced with fentanyl.

Jagmanjot Grewal, Shervin Beeharry and Azam Kabani all face trafficking and weapons charges in relation to last weekend's incident. They were arrested and charged over the weekend.

Beeharry, 19, has an address in Saskatoon while Grewal, 21, and Kabani, 19, both have Calgary addresses, according to court records.

All three men are due back in court next week.
