14-year-old boy dead after fight in Pleasant Hill home

A 14-year-old boy has died following a fight inside a Pleasant Hill home Monday night, Saskatoon police say.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m., several armed people, including the 14-year-old boy, tried to force their way into a home on the 400 block of Avenue R S., police said in a news release.

A fight broke out between the occupants and one of the people who entered the residence. The 14-year-old suffered serious, life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital by Medavie Health Services, where he was pronounced dead.

 An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday, but a cause of death has not been released.
