Woman, 29, found fatally injured in Regina hotel, police investigating

A 29-year-old woman was found injured in a downtown Regina hotel and died in hospital early Saturday morning and the case is now the subject of a police investigation.

A 29-year-old woman was found injured in a downtown Regina hotel and died in hospital early Saturday morning.

The case is now the subject of a police investigation.

Police said the injured woman was found shortly after 4 a.m. CST Saturday. They did not specify which hotel or where in the hotel the woman was found.

Police said the woman was taken to hospital by EMS and died 2½ hours later.

They said the provincial coroner's office was contacted about the death and police investigators were also brought into the case.

The investigation is ongoing and police said it will include an autopsy, set for Thursday.
