When to watch Saskatchewan's Olympians competing in Paris
Follow the action as 15 athletes with ties to Saskatchewan compete at 2024 games
There are 15 athletes with ties to Saskatchewan competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which officially begin this weekend.
The games run from July 26 until Aug. 11. Coverage available through traditional television broadcasts on CBC and partner networks TSN and Sportsnet, and live events will be streaming free on CBC Gem.
If you're wondering when the province's athletes will compete, check out the details below.
This list includes nearly all of the scheduled events the Saskatchewan athletes could compete in. It is the order of the dates in which the athletes will compete.

Saturday, July 27
Saskatoon-born basketball player Trey Lyles will be the first athlete from Saskatchewan competing in Paris. The Sacramento Kings power forward and the rest of Canada's national basketball team will be taking on Greece, which is led by two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounpo. Tip-off is at 1 p.m CST.
Sunday, July 28
Saskatoon's Blake Tierney is making his Olympic debut in Paris after winning the men's 100-metre backstroke at Canada's Olympic swimming trials in May. The Olympic 100-metre backstroke heats start at 3 a.m. CST and the 22-year old could be back in action at 1:37 p.m CST in the semifinals.
Regina-born swimmer Kelsey Wog will be making her second Olympic appearance in Paris after reaching the 200-metre breaststroke semifinals in Tokyo. The 25-year-old will be competing in the 100-metre breaststroke heats at 3 a.m. CST and potentially the semifinals at 1:15 p.m. CST.
Waldheim's Carrissa Norsten is making her Olympic debut in Paris with Canada's rugby sevens team, despite only starting to play the sport five years ago. Canada plays group stage matches against Fiji at 9:30 a.m. CST and New Zealand at 1:30 p.m. CST.
Monday, July 29
Rylan Wiens, a diver from Pike Lake, Sask., is attending his second Olympics. The 22-year-old is set to compete in the men's synchronized 10-metre platform final at 3 a.m. CST.
Carissa Norsten and the rest of Canada's rugby sevens team are back in action for their final group stage match against China at 8 a.m. CST. If Canada qualifies for the quarterfinals, the games start at 1 p.m. CST.
Blaire McDowell says playing water polo in Regina propelled her to the Paris Olympics. The 23-year-old and the rest of Canada's water polo team will be taking on Hungary at 12:05 p.m CST.
Both Blake Tierney and Kelsey Wog could be back in the pool on July 29 if they qualify for their respective finals. The 100-metre men's backstroke final is set to start at 1:22 p.m. CST while the 100-metre women's breaststroke is at 1:32 p.m. CST.
Tuesday, July 30
Ovesh Purahoo is competing for Mauritius in the 100-metre freestyle swimming event, but is completing his kinesiology degree at the University of Regina and competes for the school's swimming team. The heats of the 100-metre freestyle swimming event start at 3 a.m. CST, while the semifinal is at 12:30 CST.
Trey Lyles is back in action with Canada's basketball team against Australia, which has nine current or former NBA players on the roster including Patty Mills, Joe Ingles and Josh Giddey. Tip-off is at 5:30 a.m CST.
Humboldt's Paige Crozon is making history in Paris. The 30-year-old is part of Canada's first-ever 3x3 basketball team to qualify for the Olympics. The team's first game is against Australia at 10 a.m. CST.
Carissa Norsten says Canada's rugby sevens team's goal is to return to the podium in Paris after winning bronze at the sport's inaugural event at the 2016 Rio Games. The semifinals start at 7:30 a.m CST, the bronze medal match is at 11 a.m. CST and the gold-medal match is at 11:45 a.m. CST.
Wednesday, July 31
Blake Tierney and Kelsey Wog will be back in the swimming lanes for the 200-metre races in their respective strokes. Tierney will be competing in the 200-metre men's backstroke heats set to start at 3 a.m. CST, with the semifinals starting at 1:34 p.m. CST. Wog will be racing in the women's 200-metre breaststroke heats starting at 3 a.m. CST, and if she advances the semifinals are set to start at 1:46 p.m. CST.
Tammara Thibeault spent time in Regina as a child when her father Patrick Thibeault played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. In 2021, Tamara matched Canada's best-ever Olympic result in any women's boxing event by making the quarterfinals of the 75-kilogram competition. She is set to have her first bout in Paris on July 31.
Blaire McDowell will be back in the pool as Canada's women's water polo squad takes on China at 7:35 a.m. CST.
Paige Crozon is returning to the court as Canada's 3x3 basketball team takes on China at 10 a.m. CST.
If Ovesh Purahoo qualifies for the men's 100-metre freestyle swimming event, he will be racing for a medal at 2:15 a.m. CST.
Thursday, Aug. 1st
Paige Crozon is set to have a busy day on the court. Canada's 3x3 basketball team is taking on Germany at 1:30 a.m. CST and France at 2 p.m. CST.
Blake Tierney and Kelsey Wog could be back in action if they qualify for the finals of their respective swimming events. Tierney could be competing in the men's 200-metre backstroke final at 12:37 p.m. CST, while Wog could race in the women's 200-metre breaststroke final at 1:03 p.m. CST.
Friday, Aug. 2nd
Blaire McDowell and Canada's water polo team are back in action against Australia at 6 a.m. CST.
Trey Lyles and Canada's basketball team are taking on Spain, which features current and former NBA players like Santi Aldama, Usban Garuba and Willy Hernangómez, at 9:15 a.m. CST.
Paige Crozon and Canada's 3x3 basketball team have another busy day with two games. They are taking on the USA at 10 a.m. CST and then Spain at 1 p.m. CST.
Saturday, Aug. 3
Paige Crozon is the only Saskatchewan athlete scheduled to compete on Aug. 3. Canada's 3x3 basketball team has its final game in the pool round against Azerbaijan at 9 a.m. CST. Canada could also be playing in the quarterfinals, which start at 1 p.m. CST and 1:30 p.m. CST.
Sunday, Aug. 4
The 2024 Paris Games will be Savannah Sutherland's first Olympics. The 20-year-old from Borden is Canada's record holder for the indoor and outdoor 400-metre hurdles. She will be competing in the first round of the Olympic 400-metre hurdle event starting at 4:35 a.m. CST.
If Tammara Thibeault wins her first boxing match, she will be back in action on Aug. 4 for the quarterfinals, which could start anytime between 3:32 a.m. CST and 8:02 a.m. CST.
McDowell and the rest of Canada's water polo team will be back in the pool to take on Netherlands at 10:30 a.m. CST.
Monday, Aug. 5
The 2024 Paris games will be the third time pole vaulter Anicka Newell has represented Canada at the Olympics. She was born and raised in Texas, but her mom's side of the family is from the Saskatoon and Hanley areas. The 30-year-old will be competing in the pole vaulting qualifier at 2:40 a.m. CST.
Savannah Sutherland could be back in action if she has to compete in the 400-metre hurdles repechage at 2:50 a.m. CST.
Paige Crozon says Team Canada's 3x3 basketball team's goal is to bring home a medal. If the team advances past the quarterfinals, it will be playing in the semifinals at either 9:30 a.m. CST or 10:30 a.m. CST. The bronze medal match is at 1 p.m. CST, while the gold medal is at 2:35 p.m. CST.
A pair of Saskatchewan athletes made Canada's artistic swimming team. This will be the second Olympics for Regina's Kenzie Pridell, while Saskatoon's Sydney Caroll is traveling as the team's alternate. The team technical routine will start at 11:30 a.m. CST.
Tuesday, Aug. 6
Lyles and Canada's basketball team could be back for the quarterfinals, which could start anytime between 3 a.m. CST and 1:30 p.m. CST.
Kenzie Pridell and Sydney Caroll have the artistic swimming team free routine at 11:30 a.m. CST.
Blaire McDowell and Canada's water polo team could be competing in the water polo quarterfinals, which could start anytime between 6 a.m. CST and 12:35 a.m. CST.
Savannah Sutherland could be back on the track if she qualifies for the 400-metre hurdles semifinals. Those races are set to start at 12:07 p.m. CST.
Wednesday, Aug. 7
Hurdler Michelle Harrison is making her long-awaited Olympic debut in Paris. The 31-year-old Saskatoon native is competing in the 100-metre hurdles. Round 1 of that event starts at 2:15 a.m. CST.
Diver Margo Erlam trains in Saskatoon. The 22-year-old is competing in the three-metre springboard preliminary round, which starts at 7 a.m. CST.
Anicka Newell is looking to improve on her two previous Olympic results. She is hoping to bring home a medal. The pole vault final starts at 11 a.m. CST.
Kenzie Pridell and Sydney Caroll are back in action with the artistic swimming team acrobatic routine at 11:30 a.m. CST.
Thursday, Aug. 8
Diver Margo Erlam could be back in action if she qualifies for the three-metre springboard semifinals. That action kicks off at 2 a.m. CST.
Hurdler Michelle Harrison could be in the 100-metre hurdle repechange at 2:35 a.m. CST.
If Canada's men's basketball team advances to the semifinals, Trey Lyles will be back on the court at 9:30 a.m. CST or 1 p.m. CST.
Blaire McDowell could be back in the pool for the water polo semifinals at 6:35 a.m. CST or 11:35 a.m. CST.
Savannah Sutherland is looking to have the chance to race for a medal. She will have to get past the 400-metre hurdles semifinals, which start at 12:07 p.m. CST, to achieve that goal.
Tammara Thibeault could be competing in the 75-kilogram boxing semifinals. The two semifinal bouts are expected to start 2:02 p.m. CST and 2:18 p.m. CST.
Friday, Aug. 9
Diver Rylan Wiens will be competing in the 10-metre platform preliminary round at 2 a.m. CST. He is looking for vengeance after missing the semifinals of that event by a fraction of a point at the Tokyo Olympics.
Hurdler Michelle Harrison could be back in action at 4:05 a.m. CST if she qualifies for the 100-metre hurdles semifinals.
Margo Erlam could be back diving if she qualifies for the three-metre springboard final. That event starts at 7 a.m. CST.
Saturday, Aug. 10
Diver Rylan Weins is looking to improve on his performance at the last Olympics in Tokyo. He could have a chance in the 10-metre platform semifinals at 2 a.m. CST and the final at 7 a.m. CST.
Blaire McDowell could make a final appearance in the pool if Canada's water polo team is playing for a medal. The bronze medal match is at 2:35 a.m. CST, while the gold medal match is at 7:35 a.m. CST.
Canada's men basketball team last reached an Olympic podium in 1936. Lyles and Canada's men's basketball team are trying to erase that statistic by bringing home a medal. The bronze-medal match is at 3 a.m. CST, while the gold medal match is at 1:30 p.m. CST.
Michelle Harrison's goal is to reach the final of the women's 100 metre-hurdles, which is taking place at 11:45 a.m. CST.
