RCMP still looking for Napope’s body after his burnt-out car was found in 2015
The RCMP have charged a second man with the first-degree murder of Troy Napope, who was reported missing nine days after a car he had been using was found burning in a grove of trees.
Napope was 23 when he was last seen in May 2015 after leaving a house party in Prince Albert, Sask.
The second accused is a 29-year-old Prince Albert man who was known to Napope, as was the first person charged, a 27-year-old man also charged with his first-degree murder.
The 29-year-old man had previously been charged with one count of arson and one count of forcible confinement in relation to Napope's death.
He appeared in court on those charges on Feb. 26. Following further investigation, RCMP laid the first-degree murder charge.
He appeared in provincial court in Prince Albert Tuesday morning on the murder charge.
