Thousands of athletes in Regina as N.A. Indigenous Games begin

Traditional aboriginal drummers and dancers opened the North American Indigenous Games in Regina yesterday.

Opening ceremonies on Sunday, events run to July 26

Traditional aboriginal drummers and dancers opened the North American Indigenous Games in Regina yesterday.

Some 3,700 young athletes from Canada and the United States are in the city to compete. 

There are a total of 15 sport categories, including golf and kayaking. The closing ceremonies are on Saturday.
