The Saskatoon-based group, The Sheepdogs — who shot to fame thanks to promotional contest with Rolling Stone magazine — are in the running for three Juno awards.
The rock band is up for Single of the Year, New Group of the Year and Rock Album of the Year.
The Sheepdogs are among four Saskatchewan music groups and artists up for Juno awards.
Also in the running are Deep Dark Woods, in the Roots and Traditional category, Donny Parenteau for Aboriginal Album of the Year and Suzie Vinnick in the Blues category.
William Shatner is set to host the Juno awards program on April 1 in Ottawa. A full week of festivities celebrating Canadian music will take place in the lead up to the awards show.
