The Saskatchewan Roughriders selected wide receiver Nic Demski at the Canadian Football League draft.
Demski, 21, is a player from the University of Manitoba.
The 6-0, 215-pound Winnipeg native played four seasons with the U of M Bisons. In 2014, he made 27 catches for 589 yards and five touchdowns while also rushing 47 yards on six carries.
The Riders also noted that he contributed on special teams where he added 19 punt returns for 272 yards and a touchdown.
Demski was named a 2014 CIS second-team All-Canadian and a Canada West All-Star as well as playing in the East-West Bowl.
Roughriders coach Corey Chamblin said he was impressed with Demski, after reviewing video of the player.
"Exciting," Chamblin said about Demski. "And that's what we want to be on offence, is exciting."
