Riders swing trade with Calgary for defensive back
Keeping with their busy day of roster moves, Saskatchewan made a trade with the Calgary Stampeders on Sunday in hope of bolstering their defence.
The Riders acquired American defensive back Brandon McDonald from Calgary for a negotiation list player.
McDonald, 30, spent the past two seasons with Ottawa and Calgary.
Before coming to Canada, McDonald spent six seasons in the NFL with the several teams. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft.
