It's the beginning of the end at Saskatchewan's Target stores, and in Regina on Thursday, customers were lining up before the doors opened.

Across Canada, 133 stores are closing, putting some 17,000 employees out of a job.

It's believed the two stores in Saskatoon and one in Regina employ several hundred people, although the company has never made precise numbers available.

At around 7:45 a.m. CST, a small crowd of about a dozen people had lined up outside the Northgate Mall in Regina.

The store says everything must go, with up to 30 per cent off.

Customers told CBC News they're looking to score some bargains on electronic goods.
