Man injured in Regina's North Central area dies

Regina police say a man injured in Regina's North Central neighbourhood Tuesday morning died in hospital.

Call first came in at 11 a.m. with reports of injured male

A man is dead following a weapons incident in Regina's North Central neighbourhood Tuesday morning. 

Officers responded to a weapons call at the 1000 block of Princess Street just after 11 a.m. Police blocked off the area and were seen on the street knocking on doors.

A police spokesperson confirmed the initial call came in regarding an injured adult male on the scene.

He was taken away by ambulance, but was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

Police haven't said whether a weapon caused the death or what kind of weapon was involved. 

Police and the coroner's office are working to identify the dead man and notify his next-of-kin.

There was no word on any arrests.
