Prairie Aquatics and Exotics took in eight this summer
Prairie Aquatics and Exotics in Regina announced it found homes for all eight of its rescue bearded dragons.
The dragons were either abandoned or surrendered by previous owners. The pet store usually only took the occasional bearded dragon from the Regina Humane Society, but since this summer took in eight.
The animals are considered easy to care for and social. They can grow up to 60 centimetres.
Prairie Aquatics and Exotics has encouraged people to check back to see if they receive more that need rescuing. The pet store said it will teach anyone interested about how to care for them.
