With No. 1 ranking, Regina Pats looking for 8th straight win tonight
The Regina Pats have won seven games in a row and have been named the top team in the 60-team Canadian Hockey League.
Exciting to be named top CHL team, says coach John Paddock
It has been a few years since the Regina Pats were the talk of the town like this.
They've won seven games in a row and have been named the top team in the 60-team Canadian Hockey League.
"For sure it was exciting," coach John Paddock said about the ranking.
It put his team in a good mood Wednesday going into a home game against the Kootenay Ice. The Pats won 10-2.
The team will try to keep their streak alive tonight at the Brandt Centre against the Saskatoon Blades.
"We have some very good players who are in their maturing — or have matured — years," Paddock said. "They've been very focused since the start of the year and have been rewarded for it."
