The Regina Pats have a new trick up their sleeves: the special edition Christmas Sweater Jersey.

The Sask. WHL team plans to rock the new, festive gear on December 19 when they play the Moose Jaw Warriors.

According to the team, it's the first time they've embraced the classic Christmas uniform on the ice.

"The uniform is modeled closely after the Pats current navy blue jersey, but adds a red stripe across the middle and exchanges the team's standard red trim for a winter themed design," reads a press release from the team.

The Regina Pats are encouraging fans to wear their own Christmas sweaters to the game. And, yes, they say there will be a prize for the ugliest one in the bunch.

The Pats got us here at CBC Saskatchewan thinking about what we wear during the holidays...

At CBC Saskatchewan many of us feel the weirder, the better, when it comes to Christmas attire. (This Hour Has 22 Minutes/CBC)

We want to know, do you have a favourite Christmas sweater? Do you love it because it is ugly and weird?
