At least 70 headstones were damaged, with some simply toppled while others were broken altogether.
A city worker discovered the vandalism at the Regina Cemetery on Tuesday. Police suspect the damage was done on the weekend.
"Preliminary investigation indicates the damage occurred sometime between 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 13 and about 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14," police said.
"Police have taken photos of the damage and checked the area for evidence, but at this time police have not identified suspects," they added.
