Regina business raised $1100 for La Loche families through yoga
Bodhi Tree Yoga raised more than $1100 for La Loche families from yoga classes last night.
Bodhi Tree Yoga was able to raise more than $1100 for La Loche families.
The studio offered three classes last night and as payment, asked the students to make a donation to help affected families.
"Yoga might not be able to stop tragedies like these from happening, but we can at least dedicate our practice to the people suffering as a result of them," Bodhi Tree Yoga wrote on its website.
Some injured in the shootings were airlifted to Saskatoon and are receiving treatment at the Royal University Hospital.
Families are staying in Saskatoon while their loved ones are cared for, and many of them have additional expenses.
Bodhi Tree said it will give the money to those families, to support their needs while they are away from their homes.
The yoga studio will also be accepting donations for the remainder of the week.
