Regina man charged in August dog attack that left woman with serious injuries

Regina police have charged a man in connection to a dog attack that injured a woman last summer.

Regina police say they have charged a man in connection with a dog attack that injured a woman during the summer.

Officers were called to investigate a dog attack in the area of Third Avenue and Cameron Street, in the city's North Central neighbourhood, on Aug. 19 at around 9 a.m. CST, Regina police said in a news release Monday.

Police say a woman was walking her own dogs when she was chased and attacked by two other dogs.

She suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. Investigators were able to locate the owner of the dogs, which were seized, police said.

Gerald Pocha, 47, is charged with criminal negligence causing bodily harm.

He is scheduled to appear in provincial court on Jan. 3.
