RCMP find body of 23-year-old man from Sask. ATV incident
This is the seventh death resulting from an ATV incident in Saskatchewan this year.
Police have found the body of a 23-year-old man after an ATV rollover Sunday night near the community of Congress, in Southern Saskatchewan.
Assiniboia RCMP were called to the scene at about 11:20 p.m. CST. Two men were on the ATV when it rolled over into a water-filled dugout.
The 26-year-old man was able to safely get out of the water, but the 23-year-old man from the Congress area became submerged.
RCMP recovered the body of the 23-year-old man at around 2 p.m. CST on Monday.
More information on the deceased has not yet been released.
This is the seventh death resulting from an ATV incident reported to the RCMP in Saskatchewan this year. One group is calling for mandatory regulations to ensure users of the machines have proper safety training.
