Regina residents will be celebrating the city's sexual and gender diversity this week at the annual Queen City Pride.

Pride festivities kick off Monday with a flag-raising at city hall. This year the flag will be lowered to half mast in honour of those killed in a shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla., on June 12.

Activities continue daily throughout the week, with the main event on Saturday at the Pride Parade.

The parade starts at noon and travels to Victoria Park, where there will be live entertainment, vendors and a children's area for Out in Victoria Park from 1 to 5 p.m. CST.

Get your seats early if you're planning to head to the parade on Saturday. Over a hundred people had already lined up for the parade by 11 a.m. CST in 2015. (Arielle Zerr/CBC News)
