Police rap battle about safe winter driving: Calgary vs. Edmonton vs. Regina

Police agencies across Canada, including Calgary, Edmonton, and Regina are sharing their rap lyrics about safe driving, inspired by the one written by Kindersley RCMP this week.

'And I'd like to take a minute, Just sit right there, I'll tell you how my car spun out of control in mid-air'

Edmonton Police Service re-wrote the lyrics to the classic Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song. (CBC)

Police agencies across Canada, including Calgary, Edmonton, and Regina are sharing their rap lyrics about safe driving, inspired by the one written by Kindersley RCMP this week.

Edmonton police chose to change up the lyrics to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song.

In case you need to be reminded of the tune, here's the original Fresh Prince of Bel-Air rap.

Calgary Police released this rap on Facebook...

...Which of course fits the tune of Baby Got Back.

Regina released its own rap...

...To be sung to the tune of Uptown Funk.

The Kindersley RCMP rap was a re-write of Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby.

And hit back one more time, Spice Girls style.

CBC Radio's As It Happens got in on the action. The show asked the Kindersley RCMP and the Edmonton Police Service's social media people to rap the rhymes they wrote. You can listen to their versions here
