NewLeaf offering $89 flights to B.C. from Regina, Saskatoon
NewLeaf set to provide service in Saskatoon and Regina
The arrival of NewLeaf, a discount airline, is being welcomed by airport officials in Saskatchewan, including Dick Graham of the Regina Airport Authority.
The carrier will fly to Halifax, Hamilton, Regina, Saskatoon, Abbotsford, Kelowna, and Winnipeg — where the carrier is based.
For Saskatchewan, the airline is offering direct flights from Saskatoon and Regina to Abbotsford, Kelowna, and Hamilton.
The company's introductory fare, for the B.C. destinations, is $89 one-way. The Hamilton fare is $119.
"Now we have a market segment that can take the opportunity to hop on a plane, and for a few dollars, fly here or there," Graham, president and CEO of the Regina Airport Authority, said Wednesday. "We see great rates on many of the airlines across Canada and they [NewLeaf] are certainly coming in strong with their rates."
According to Graham, the first flights for Regina will be Kelowna and Hamilton in February. Abbotsford flights will be offered in March.
The company also published a summary of its winter flight offers.
