Regina Transit proposes new bus routes for U of R students

Representatives from Regina Transit will be on hand to answer students' questions and listen to feedback about the new routes.

City pairing up with U of R Students' Union on universal bus pass

Regina Transit is proposing some new routes and changes to existing ones in order to better accommodate University of Regina students.

It's happening because of a partnership between the City of Regina and the University of Regina Students' Union to give students universal bus passes, starting this fall.

Part of the agreement includes providing better routes for students taking the bus to the main campus on Wascana Parkway.

The city is offering public consultations on the changes, with representatives on campus Tuesday and Wednesday (Feb. 9-10).

Regina Transit employees will be on hand to answers questions and receive feedback in the Riddell Centre between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. CST.

Another public meeting will be held at the Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre on Feb. 23 between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Residents can also call 306-777-7000 with their comments and questions.

Submissions will be accepted until March 4.
