Regina police charge Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., man with murder

Regina police have charged a 27-year-old Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask. man with second-degree murder in the case of a man who died after being found critically injured in the North Central area yesterday.

Regina police have charged a 27-year-old Fort Qu'Appelle man with second-degree murder in the case of a man who died after being found critically injured in the North Central area yesterday. 

Jerid Cole Azure appeared in provincial court Wednesday.

The man who died, Andre Joseph Aubertin, 56, was found in a home on the 1000 block of Princess St. 

Aubertin was taken away by ambulance and was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

Police haven't said anything about the apparent cause of death, but said yesterday that officers had responded to a weapons call.

The man's death is being treated as the city's second homicide of the year.
