High temperatures in forecast for parts of Saskatchewan
Environment Canada is forecasting warm temperatures as the day progresses in south and central Saskatchewan, and wetter weather in the north.
Highs of around 30 C predicted for Saskatoon and Regina, chance of showers or thunderstorms in north
After a cooler start to Monday, temperatures are expected to rise in south and central Saskatchewan.
Environment Canada has forecasted highs of around 30 C for much of the region.
Both Saskatoon and Regina are looking at highs of around 31 C.
This comes after a mostly cloudy morning in those cities with temperatures hovering around 10 C.
Chance of showers in north
In the north, Environment Canada said there is a chance of showers and risk of thunderstorm for most areas.
Some local smoke for places including La Ronge, La Loche as well as Uranium City.
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band declared a local emergency and started evacuating residents over the weekend due to lightning strikes causing forest fires.
