Haven Dubois' mother looking for answers 4 months after his death in Regina

The mother of a 14-year-old boy who died in May is looking for answers regarding the circumstances of her son's death.

Richelle Dubois' son died in a creek on May 20, 2015

A Regina family is taking to the streets on Sunday to remember a loved one. Haven Dubois, 14, died in May. Dubois was pulled from a creek in east Regina. His family and friends will be walking to remember him, exactly four months after his death.

"It's been the most horrible four months of my life," Haven's mother Richelle Dubois said. "Our lives are completely different. There's no normal in our lives anymore. It's been hell on earth for all of us."

Dubois still has questions about the circumstances surrounding her son's death. Police ruled out foul play shortly after Haven died. The family are waiting on a coroner's report. They were told it would take between four and six months to complete.

"If it was a tragic accident then that's something I will deal with and face when that time comes but until then it's suspicious to me," said Dubois.

She's is hoping someone can shed more light on what her son was doing before he died.

"If anybody had anything to do with it or knows anything about it, I'm not going to stop. There's no way I'm going to stop until I find out exactly what happened to him," said Dubois.

The walk starts at noon Sunday from F.W. Johnson Collegiate and will proceed down Fines Drive. The family will release balloons at the creek where Haven died.
