A six-year-old boy found fatally injured earlier this week will be laid to rest on Friday.

Lee Bonneau was being looked after by his foster mom on the Kahkewistahaw First Nation.

His foster father Ellis Ramstead said Bonneau was last seen playing outside a community hall.

After a 90-minute search, Bonneau was found with serious head injuries. RCMP said he was located in an open area along a treeline.

The six-year-old was taken to hospital in Broadview, where he was pronounced dead.

The boy's death has been ruled a homicide but RCMP investigators have made no arrests.

Bonneau's funeral will be held on Friday at Bread of Life Lutheran Church in Regina at 2 p.m. CST.
